You Can Become A Lead Magnet by Adopting the Attraction Marketing Concept

The success of any home based business is dependent on how many qualified people the business can attract.

As a home business owner you must understand how to generate Leads, but not just any Leads you need Quality Leads.  Leads that are looking for what you have to offer.  This article will give you a few idea of how to generate Quality Leads.

There are 2 things I’m certain of:

1)      Not everyone you bring into your business is going to stick around. Some people just aren’t cut out for this industry, or maybe they just aren’t ready right now.

2)      If you haven’t already, you will eventually run out of friends, family members, and co-workers to talk to. That is, if you are even prospecting your warm market.

So what does this mean? You need a constant flow of high-quality, targeted, pre-qualified leads.

Leads are essential for any successful business, but particularly so in network marketing, in which MLMers need a steady flow of prospects to present their products or business opportunity to. Unfortunately, many in multi-level marketing (MLM) don’t treat their business as a business. The truth is, a network marketing business is just like any other business.

IT IS A BUSINESS

As such, Network Marketers, home based business owners should use many of the same marketing strategies used by other businesses that need leads to make sales.

More Leads Than You Can Handle

All of us dream with having more leads than you can handle.  And for many of us it is just that…a dream.  But what if??

I learned something a long time ago in my network marketing business….. “It’s smart business practice to have more leads coming in than you can handle.”

Having an abundance of leads will subconsciously put you in a different state of mind. It will change your posture and how you interact with your leads.

Here’s 6 thoughts on qualified leads:

1.  When talking to leads, you need to be in control of the conversation. You want to qualify your prospect, and not the other way around.  Remember this is YOUR Business not theirs. Being in control you will come across as Not Being Desperate.

2.  If you have a limited number of leads, you may have a tough time disqualifying or letting people go.  As tough as it may be, remember you are the CEO of your business, you only want quality people.  It is better to “let them go now” than to try to sponsor them and waste your time.

3.  Lack of leads, you may feel as though you have to try and recruit anyone and everyone regardless of their qualifications.  This business requires time…you don’t want to wast your time on tire kickers.  If they don’t meet your requirements…move on!

4.  If you have more leads than you can handle, you are less likely to waste time with unqualified prospects.

5.  Your objective will be to weed through a whole bunch of people who are unqualified to find a few good people that are.  Personally, I would like to have 10 good business builders in my business than a 100 “I’ll try it to see if it works.”

6.  Quality leads will allow you to pick and choose who you want to work with and invite into your home based business, rather than allowing any living, breathing person into your business.

So the bottom line is, it doesn’t really matter how you get leads, you just need a constant flow of new quality leads.

Smart Home Business Owner

As a home business owner you must do the following:

  • Know who you are targeting
  • Create your Avatar
  • A well developed business plan
  • Know that this is a long term projects
  • Use social media
  • Seek advice from experts
  • As the CEO of your business, only hire (sponsor} people who want to work (No Tire Kickers)

Use Social Media To Find Your Perfect Prospect/Customer

Incorporate social media into your efforts to generate more leads, and you will be more successful.  BUT WHICH ONE?

Many people do all of their browsing through social media sites these days, so that’s where your business needs to be. Cover the major platforms with great offers specifically targeted to your potential customers and watch the leads come in!

Important:  With many social media options available, which one?  Tough decision.  Pick one that your interested in and work only that one.  Later you can add another.

Don’t forget about having a follow-up plan. Once you have generated some leads, it is important to remember that you need to turn those leads into paying clients, customers or distributers.

Have a plan in place so that you can begin that work as soon as you get some quality leads.

Can you teach locals about what you do? For example, if you are part of a multi-level marketing company, you could run a free class teaching people how to sell the product or even letting them know about how they can do the same thing you are doing in building your downline.  What is important here is that your are NOT SELLING, only teaching.

Make Time For Lead Generation Every Single Day

Like most things, it’s building the habits that’s the most important aspect of successful lead generation. If you do it daily, you’ll find you become more effective at creating potential qualified customers.

In my personal business, I actively prospect for two hours a day.  The rest of the day is for training new prospects, working with leaders, and reviewing (revising) my game plan.

I some time get asked, “should I buy leads?”  While I’m not a fan of list buying, purchasing is just another marketing strategy.  Test it out before you commit to any long term buying.  Buying leads leads will get you leads, but how qualified are they?  If you get a few then the money is well spent.  Most everyone I know in Network Marketing will tell you that buying leads will only cost you time and efforts with no results.

My advice, try it if you like but don’t count on list buying as a long term marketing strategy.

Understanding how to separate a good lead from a bad one is key to your business success.  Using a “shotgun” approach will only cost you time and frustration.  Knowing who your target audience really is and then appealing to their interest, is a solid way to build your Network Empire.
