Many people go into multi-level marketing or MLM Marketing with the promise of making money fast and easy. That is not reality, and in fact most people end up quitting before they even get started. Don’t let the promise of riches and easy money lure you into something that is destined from failure. You want a good MLM opportunity and there are certain step you can do that are easy to implement.
You can make good money part-time with your business, if you take it seriously, focus and stay dedicated. I will also tell you that I don’t personally believe people fail in Network Marketing. I think people just QUIT.
Why do they quit? Lack of success, lack of coaching, lack of direction and the wrong people.
Let’s examine each:
Lack of success
Number one reason people quit is lack of success in their business. Most business presentations show fancy cars, big homes, luxury travel and a life style from the business. What is not given is that it take work to get the business started. It takes disappointment and dough. It sounds so easy but if your not prepared for the NO’s and people fall-out you will become discouraged. Best advice is not to become discouraged and just keep going and thinking about the the picture that was painted during the business opportunity presentation.
Lack of coaching
This goes hand and hand with lack of success. If you are not properly coached in what to expect and how to overcome your frustrations, your success in Network Marketing is already jeopardized. The responsibility of your up-line is to keep you moving in a positive direction. However, the problem here may be that your up-line is new and they may not be properly coached. The other part maybe that you have a successful up-line and they are giving you as much time they can to help. Their job is not to build the business for you but to help and guide. Lot of people in Network Marketing want others to build the business for them. This is not realistic and not the goal of the up-line. Find a coach that is there to answer questions and offer help and advice. Your responsibility to build your own business so you can direct others in your down-line to do the same.
Lack of direction
Lot of people in MLM lack direction. This goes back to Lack of coaching. A good coach will help define your direction and your goals. If they can’t find another person in the MLM company that can do that for you. It has been said, “If you don’t know where you are going, how do you know when you have arrived.” Another twist, “If you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there.” Find your direction and focus on that direction.
Wrong people
This is the most disturbing part of Network Marketing. Your are told to make a list. Contact that list and present the business opportunity. You have done that and now you have no one else to talk to. This is Important… NOT EVERYONE IS CUTOUT TO BE YOUR PROSPECT. The person down the street on your list may not be a good candidate. He or she may only want to work at a job and nothing else. The person “hustling” on the street corner is not a good candidate. A family member may not be a good candidate. Your job is to find that RIGHT person and sponsor them into your business opportunity.
Good marketing is not to the masses. Example: Drop 10,000 pieces of mail over Chicago and see what your results will be. If your not arrested, probably zero results. Why? your marketing to no one. However, by knowing your target market you can laser focus on that person or persons and find good results. How do you do that? It is called Attraction Marketing. Identify your Garavatar and focus on that person or person.
As you can see I spent more time on this subject than the other because this where most people quit. This is where most MLM company’s and your up-line teaches. This old school marketing. Push until they give in. As soon as they join your business opportunity they will quickly quit.
Network Marketing Basic
Be ethical when you do multi-level marketing. There are many people that work in this type of marketing that are dishonest and have unethical sales tactics. No matter what kind of pressure you’re under to succeed in this marketing, try to run an honest business. This can easily make you stand out from the rest.
Have pride in what you market. Choose a MLM Company that have services and products that you like. You cannot successfully represent something that you don’t have pride in. Research and partner with MLM companies that you trust. Just make sure you check their compensation plans to make sure they fit your plan and goals.
If you have a multi-level marketing business with a focus on product parties, make sure to book a minimum of three parties additional parties at every event. Before walking away from each event, try to schedule at least three more parties. Doing this will ensure that your business grows rather than just sustain itself.
Once you have found a genuine multilevel marketing opportunity, make it your business to become a true expert about the product or service being offered. Read outside information that is related so that you will always be able to provide intelligent, sensible answers to questions. In this way, you can avoid simply repeating talking points and establish yourself as being genuinely knowledgeable.
Use a vision board for your marketing goals. You can put the items that you hope to obtain from MLM on it. For example, you may wish to earn enough income to buy a new home. By putting these items on the board, you can see them and figure out how to achieve them. Have a well defined goal. Write it out and read it daily. Your goal must have dates.
One of the main things you can count on when participating in multilevel marketing is that you will need to attend social events. These are great opportunities to meet and greet others. Have pictures taken of you with some of the top leaders/producers so you can show them to potential prospects. Picture will add a lot to your credibility.
Network Marketing
Be sure that the network marketing program you join focuses more on actually selling the product or service than on recruiting more and more people. MLM programs that focus on recruitment are often not legitimate. This sort of structure is what causes people to think of MLM as a pyramid or Ponzi scheme. A genuine MLM opportunity will involve selling a truly valuable product or service, not just recruiting more and more people.
Make sure that you have a good support team behind you. This is not just having the right up-line and downline relationships, but also the right training and coaching.
Being successful with a MLM business, requires that the person understand the business they are getting involved with. You want to know everything about the MLM opportunity before rushing into it, otherwise you’re just setting yourself up to be disappointed.

- Setbacks.
- Disappointments.
They happen to us all, at every stage, no matter who you are or how much money you make. The KEY to becoming successful though, is to not let that Stuck feeling derail you, and keep you stuck for very long. Because when you do, you lose focus, excitement and the drive to move forward.
Which is a deadly combination that will only lead to more disappointment, guaranteed.
