How To Drive Traffic To Your Blog Site

By Bill Fletcher

Social media can be a highly effective way of engaging with your current and future customers and distributors, increasing you brand’s exposure and driving traffic to your blog site.  However, if you think of your social media plan as one aspect of your greater marketing, mix, you get even more benefit from your efforts.  Here’s way to get additional benefits from your marketing and “How To Drive Traffic To Your Blog Site”:

Have One Consistent Voice:

Remember that many current and future customers and distributors are exposed to your brand on more than one place online as well as offline so don’t confuse them with different messaging on each social media channel.  Whether you’re using only a website and a blog, or you’re using Twitter, Facebook, Digg, Linkedin, YouTube or a host of other sources, keep the contents of your message and the way you deliver it consistent across all social media channels. Doing so creases more coherent brand messaging, which can be more effective in converting a site visitor into a customer or distributor.

For example:  Your message is Health Foods.  You are looking for customers to purchase your product.  Keep your site or blog all about Health Foods.  I see many online people who have a product only to talk about something else.  Your Health Food business has nothing to do with building model airplanes.  Yet, I see many blogs mixing unrelated products.  Keep your voice consistent.

Decide On Your Goal:

Important, is your goal to drive traffic to your blog to recruit distributors or is it to sell products off your website? Once you have your goal, delegate one central focus for your strategy and Social-Mediathen use separate channels to drive traffic there.  For example, if your aim is to drive traffic to your blog use, Twitter, Facebook, Digg and other social media sites to advertise your blog post.  Or your goal could be to drive traffic to your website by encouraging visitors to access articles, white papers or information on your site about the benefits of using your products and then to purchase your products and services.  What is your GOAL?

For example:  You want to drive traffic to your blog for your MLM Business.  The purpose is to recruit distributors.  Your message is to show how they can achieve financial success. Or your message is to have visitors purchase your product.  Your blog is then to show how to use your product or how it benefits their lives.  Decide your GOAL, traffic to buy or to recruit?

Here’s to your success,
