Headlines Will Grab Their Attention

Headlines are what your readers tend to read first.  Your headline will act like bait. If your bait is good, they will “bite”.   Spend time with your headline.  One way of getting a good headline is to prepare your blog first.  Once you have written your blog.  Read it for content, then within the blog you will find your headline.  If your headline is dull, repetitive, commonplace, predictable, or just not intriguing at all, your readers may decide to skip the entire thing.

SEO Friendly

Be sure that you have SEO friendly themes, plug-ins and templates. This will allow your blog to load quickly. The faster something loads, the more people are going to be willing to look at it. If a page takes too long to load, more than likely a visitor will just close the page.  Use good search engine optimization techniques when creating your blog. Your blog needs this in order to appear in search results and be seen by readers. Keywords should be contained within the title and within the blog article itself.

Content Is Important

Spend time to add valuable content to your blog. Writing to be just writing will be time waster.  A successful blog entertains, informs, solves problems, give ideas, thoughts and personally.

Don’t know what to write about? There are a host of things. Update your blog frequently. New content that is fresh and relevant is what will attract and retain your audience. By not posting new content, readers will have no reason to come back to your blog. In general, you should try to post at least once a day.
