Network Marketing is a fun business to have and own and can be very profitable, but only if it is done right. If your MLM Business is going nowhere, it’s not because the business has an issue…it’s because YOU have the issue. This is not a HOBBY.
How Much Money Can I Make In MLM?
It’s not how much you can make in MLM, it’s how much can I help others. Many people enter Network Marketing with a “glass eye”. What do I mean? You probability saw a presentation on how much money you can make with your very own business. The presenter, painted a rosy picture. All you have to do is to invite your friends and family to see your new home business and wala you are now successful. Or they may have said, “invite anyone who can breath” and wala you have a successful business.
This could be further from the truth. 97% of the people that enter into Network Marketing fail. Again, it’s not that the business failed, but rather your upline that failed you or you just didn’t quite fully understand what Network Marketing was all about.
Network Marketing is not about how much money you can make it’s about how many people you help. The money will come when you help others!
Network Marketing Is Not About Recuiting
Network Marketing is not about recuiting reps!! Surprised!! It’s true, let me repeat…Network Marketing is not about recuiting reps. So what is it? Network Marketing is finding someone who wants to build a home based business and is willing to do what ever it takes to make it happen. When you work with that person, both will have a successful career in MLM.
As soon as you get that concept into your brain…you will be successful.
My Failures
Early in my career, I would grab anyone who would listen…anyone. I gave a great presentation and recuited a lot of reps. But I would also lose a lot of reps because I spent my time recuiting more and more. I never gave a thought about who I just joined or helped them. One other big factor, Did They Want An MLM Business? Sounded great but DID THEY WANT IT AS BADLEY AS I WANTED IT?
One couple signed up but every time I called to get them to another “meeting” they were to busy watching TV, going to monster truck races, hard day going to bed early or just any excuse they could think of. Lesson, they did not want the business as bad as I wanted it and therefore, they quit. Waste of Time, Waste of Money and The Wrong Person.
Interview The Prospect as with any JOB
The most important thing you can do is to interview the prospect just as you would if you were interviewing for a job. Questions like: Why do you want a home business? What are you going to do with the money you make? How much time do you have to build your business? Are you willing to do want we tell you with out question? Will you give me 6 months of your undivided attention? Don’t like the answers…walk away. It’s better for you and your prospect.
Why Do People Fail In Network Marketing?
Why do people fail in Network Marketing?
They don’t ask question to qualify the prospect. “How much time do you have to build a business?” Prospect, “Oh I could find..maybe a couple hours a week.” My answer, “this will require 20 hours this week and the next 6 months without question”. “Are you willing?” Set back and listen for the response. If you don’t like the answer thank them and then say, “this takes time to build a business, why don’t I stay in touch with you when you have more time available”. POWER. You have positioned yourself as a leader. A person who is not willing to go for the ordinary and most important you’re not BEGGING them to join your business. There are so many people willing to join you that walking way from someone who will take up your time or will quit is very business like. It shows you are SERIOUS and you don’t have time for them.
Support
When you do find that 1 in a 10 that is willing to do what it takes. Work with them. Do the same. This is not about recuiting everyone. It’s about recuiting QUALITY. This is a long term plan. This is about disappointment, frustration, people quitting, successes, making money and a business that is a “Business not a HOBBY”.
Plug your new prospect into a “well design plan”. Help them recuit their first prospect and/or customer. This is important to do within the first several days. This builds excitement and gives your new distributor a success plan they can pass on to their new prospect.
Slowly back off but stay with them on a weekly basis then on a monthly basis each time encouraging them and supporting them.
The best advice you can give any new distributor is a duplicated plan. A well designed plan with a step-by-step guide to success. This helps both…relives your time to find another quality prospect and your new distributor with a plan.
Remember, people will quit, they will pull your time away, they will do what you do.
Network Marketing or MLM is really fun and profitable, but only if you do it right.
