How To Write A Blog That Will Interest People

By Bill Fletcher

Blogging is the act of posting content to the web in the form of a journal. If you want to start a blog, search the Internet and look at various blogs.  See what bloggers are writing about.  Look at the design and structure of the blog.  This way, you will have an idea of what you want your blog to look like and what subjects you can blog about.  Question yourself on what and why you are starting a blog.  Take this time and it will save you many hours in the future.

This article contains tips for maximizing the quality of your blog by using helpful ideas on

How To Write A Blog That Will Interest People

Be available for your readers at all times. Choose a consistent frequency for your responses such as once a day or once a week, which will help establish reader confidence that they can expect a response to their input. Connecting to your readers means that you won’t let them down.  The best blogs are ones that solve problems or offer information.

As an example:  you can write a blog on “How To Get Free Leads For Your MLM Business”  or “How Build A Home Based Business” or “How To Build A Bird House”.  If your blog is to offer information, find an idea and blog about it.

SEO and Keywords

TIP! Attempt to be available to your readers at all times. Make a habit or routine for your readers and yourself.

If you are going to be a serious blogger and your desire is to make money blogging, you will want to Incorporate SEO into your blog.  SEO will keep your blog high in the page ranks so that people can find it. Another important consideration is the use of good Keywords.  keywords should be contained within the title, and within the blog article itself, and summery.

No idea about SEO?  Google SEO and read the many articles on the subject.  Another way to learn SEO is YouTube.

Do not copy other people’s articles. Never plagiarize, as it will rapidly ruin your reputation. Successful writing a blog is more about displaying your passion for your subject than writing like a professional.  If you do use excerpts from other blogs give credit to the author.  I do this often:  “Thanks to _____ for contributing to this article”.

Short Paragraphs

Try to keep your blog posts brief and on-topic to help hold the readers interest. Provide as much detail as possible without putting your readers into a coma! Most blog readers aren’t looking for Pulitzer-winning prose or poetic descriptions of every detail of a topic. Your readers will want useful information without the garnishment.

TIP! Make sure your blog incorporates search engine optimization. Since your ultimate goal is to have people read your blog, you will want to make sure that your blog appears in their search results for specified topics.

Invite bloggers who are extremely successful to write some blog blogs on your site. This will increase the amount of quality content on your blog. You should have additional traffic if they notify their visitors of the appearance. Use several bloggers to do this and create more rich content.

People like to read “lists”.   This can be done with Numbers 1,2,3,4, or with bullets.  You will want to make lists an integral part of your blog. Lists can effectively provide information that does not require a lot of explanation, such as ingredients for a recipe or parts needed to assemble a device. Lists provide a quick touchstone for your readers to determine if your content pertains to them.

Always welcome comments and feedback from your readers. This will establish your readers as members of your community and enable you to develop relationships with them. If readers see you reply to viewer comments, they will come back to your site hoping to read a response.

TIP! You should add to your blog as often as possible. It is common for bloggers to begin blogging as though they were going to a fire and then, over time, to gradually fall into blogging less and less frequently.

Blog posts can be informally written, in fact it’s beneficial to you if they are. Blog Posting is a social format, not an academic one. Make sure your posts reflect that. You want to connect to your reader base in a fun, informal manner so that they will come back for more.

Writing A Blog can take as much time as you’d like, whether you want to post once a week or once a month. You need to stick to whatever schedule you do choose so that you will encourage your visitors to come back regularly and thus increase your site traffic. Keep what you’ve learned in this article in mind, and your blog will be successful in no time!
