Success Comes At A Price

Success comes at a price.

By Bill Fletcher

For many the price will be too high.  Only a few, will pay the price and see success in both their personal life and financial life.  We see it every day in our hero’s, our Olympians, and our leaders.

What do they have that many don’t? They have focus, confidence, diligence and a success plan. They take action and awarded for their bravery, their leadership and contributions to society.

Cartoon eyesSo many just watch and do nothing.  All too sad when success is all around us if we just Open Our Eyes!

I met a fighter pilot several weeks who in the heat of the moment saved the lives of 80 marines.  He saw that they were taking “fire” from the enemy.  Without hesitation, he flew down and covered the marines allowing them to escape.  Out of ammunition, he continued to fly through to confuse and alarm the enemy.  The result, 80 men are alive today because of his bravery.

Now when I talked with him about the incident, he did not think of himself as a hero. ” I saw my men in trouble and did something about it”.

Our Olympians Teams are competing in the Olympics.  These are the best of the best.  For years teamthey trained, failed, trained, failed until they got it right.  They never gave up.  They focused on the task at hand and continued.  Some will get Gold, some Silver and some Bronze.  But in any case, they are our best and their success came at a price.

How about our actors, singers and leaders.  I met Wayland Jennings many years ago.  Before he became known, Wayland played in small bars, dives, county fairs and anywhere he could to develop his talent.  Success was not easy.

information overloadMy good friend Rob Fore is known as an expert in SEO and Blogging.  But it was not always that way.  Failed business plagued him for years.  He developed a successful online business making a great income only to have it fail.  Then he was told he had only several years to live.  Most people would have been devastated.  Rob went to work.  And again he is now very successful with multiple six figure income business.  By the way, he overcame the illness.

President Lincoln failed so many times that success was not in his future.  His bit for presidency failed time after time.  Did he give up?  Of course not.  It was not in his liking.  Today President Lincoln is regarded as one of our top presidents.

I’m currently following two broke, living in a van, drug addition, failures.  Why?  Because today they have the most successful program available for the person who wants success but is struggling.

David Wood and David Sharpe founded Empower Network only a few year ago.  Knowing how they struggled, they devised a way for you and me to develop a wealth gathering business while developing our personal lives.  Confidence building, self-esteem and guidance it the hallmark of Empower Network.

Because they failed and struggled, their goal is help as many others avoid what they went through.

Did David Wood and David Sharpe pay the price?  Absolutely.  But the focus of the article, is how they both never gave up, never lost focus, desire to help others and build confidence while creating an income only enjoyed by those who will pay the price.

The success stories can go on with so many example it may be boring.

The problem is that they are the minority.  Handouts, what’s in it for me and “I’m owed” is the the majority.

PushStan and Jessie are a prime example.  I know them because they wanted to develop a home business.  For several months I focused on helping them create their business.  But TV got in the way.  Monster Truck Race got in the way.  Too tired tonight got in the way.  And filing for welfare and food stamps got in the way.  The price for success was too high.  I tried but had to give up.  Pushing people is not my style.

I met another gentleman, Robert who told me he would be a great business person and would make me proud with his home business.  “Loan me $500 and I will join you”.  My response was, “If I have to loan you money you really need this”.  That was 18 months ago, last week he filed for bankruptcy.

Robert was not focusing on the goal ahead.  He was looking for a hand-out, not taking responsibility for his actions and not willing to put forth the effort to improve.

Success does come at a price.  The question is “who is willing to pay the price”?  We will see new people ascending to the top.  New leaders, new business, new inventions and new wealth building programs.

Some will and some won’t.  Pay the price in what ever it is you want and grow.
