7 Warning Signs That Your Social Media Posts Are Spam or How To Avoid Sabotaging Your Network Marketing Business On Social Media

I can tell you that, most up-lines in Network Marketing are teaching an extremely outdated approach to building online. What worked 5 years ago to bring massive success to others in your business opportunity doesn’t work anymore. Even worse, it might actually be annoying people.

1. Do you post photos of yourself drinking your magic shake?

2. Is your first private message to a stranger on social media including a link to join your opportunity?

3. Are you standing next to an exotic car or in front of a large home with “I’ll Show You How”?

4. Do you PM people you haven’t spoken to since High School?

5. Do you engage in interactions online, with a hidden agenda, hoping to transition the topic to something that would get people interested in your opportunity, without caring about knowing the other person?

6. Are you hipping your business with “claims” of xxxxx?

7. Do you offer a price to get started such as:  Start Today For Only $19.95 – $39.95 or $xx.xx?

If you answered “Yup” to any of then above questions then you are probably ready for a new strategy.

Please note, I’m not saying you need to get off of social media and grow your business the old school way with home parties, 3 way calls, coffee shop meetings and wearing silly buttons. Building your Network Marketing Business or MLM online isn’t just possible, it’s also smart.

After all, if your not marketing your business with today’s technology, your just wasting your time and efforts.  Learning how is not hard.  In fact learning the correct strategy is relativity easy.

Before I get into the nuts and bolts of HOW, I want to share the number 1 thing that you can do immediately to recruit new people on social media…

Quit Posting The Name Of Your Company!

People shouldn’t even be able to figure out which company you’re with.

You want to create a little bit of intrigue and curiosity. When you post the name of your company you are allowing people to get their information from Google. They can do this without ever having a conversation with you. This means they will make their own assessment based off of what they read online. Or even worse they could potentially join someone else’s team.

You want to BRAND YOU.  You are who they want to join, the company is only the tool.

By posting about your company, you are saying the company plays a bigger role in helping them, than you do. You’re just a sales person – an unimportant commodity – they don’t need.

In fact, if you are perceived as a sales person, you are repelling your prospects! Or they will read a bunch of negative stuff on Google and not want to talk to you.

BRAND YOU

Obviously, in a business that relies on trust and relationships, the prospect NEEDS YOU. Create a little mystery and curiosity, by focusing on what YOU can do for people or help them. And if you haven’t figured it out already, all these lessons apply to building OFFLINE, as well as ONLINE.

DO NOT diminish the critical role YOU play as an advisor and expert in the eyes of your prospect. Great networkers position themselves as advisors (not sales people), who can help others get what they want. But here’s the interesting thing.

I know what your saying, “Stop Prospecting?”

The problem with prospecting in general, as it’s normally taught, is about what YOU want people to do and about manipulating people into doing what YOU want them to do.

In other words, it’s about YOU and not them.  You are not helping them, you are helping YOU?  Again, I know what your saying, “But I am helping them by showing how to make money.”

No Your Not!!  Your not solving their problem yet.  And money may be the root of the problem, but by knowing the real problem…how can you solve it?

Rejections and a lot of NO’s

The reason I was able to quit prospecting was because, with the help of some extraordinary mentors, I eventually discovered an online recruiting strategy, which… enabled me to understand what prospecting was all about and get to the root of their problems.

And again, money may be the problem but by knowing your prospect a little more, you can solve issues more than money!
