One thing to remember when developing a blog is to ensure that your readers know that they can depend on you. Treat the time you spend on your blog like you would an appointment you’ve made with friends. When you connect with your blog readers, they will expect that you can offer advice, training, education, humor or anything that will keep your readers coming back for more.

Let’s say for purpose of discussion, that you have a home based business and that you are in network marketing.  You may have designed your blog as a “How To” type of blog offering advice and information on your product line or sponsoring.

This is a great way to keep your distributors informed.  Blogging is also a great way to grow your business through sponsoring or getting new customers.

Let’s go further.  You have a home business on Cooking.  Blog about cooking.  Give advice and training on various cooking suggestions.  Blogging is a great way to get readers.

Now take that to the next level.  Your readers want to know more and to get some of your resipies.  Have them sign up for a Monthly Newsletter and charge them for the education.  You are now making money blogging with little or no expense.

But remember, be friendly and open with your blog.

You Will Want To Be SEO Friendly

TIP! Make sure that you are not overusing any keywords, plug-ins, Adsense ads and images. Doing this will undo your hard work by earning you a flag from search engines.

Do not overuse Adsense ads, plug-ins, images or keywords. Doing this will raise a red flag on search engines and cancel out your hard work. Write naturally, and make sure that your blog posts are easy to read.

Good rule of thumb is if your blog post is 500 words, you need at lease 5-10 specific keywords in you blog relating to your subject.

Guest Blogger

Allowing guests to make posts within your blog is extremely helpful. This helps you develop relationships with other blog owners and can come in helpful. These relationships can prove toRed Bird be of great use down the road. It may be that you will require some assistance in the future, and bloggers who have commented on postings in the past may be the best ones to help.

You can hold readers’ attention and encourage them to visit your blog frequently by supplying new content for them as often as you can. The best blogs have regular content posted to them at least once every day. Daily posts can seem overwhelming, but give yourself a head start and prepare several weeks worth of posts before beginning your blog. Doing so will provide you with enough content to post when you are experiencing difficulties.

TIP! Make sure to blog on a regular basis. Many bloggers will start by posting once a week, or once a day, and then fail to continue the frequent updates.

Social Media 3Make sure you have included links to the social media that your readers can use to follow you. You might be surprised by the impact of sharing your blog on social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook. These portals give you multiple options to reach out and communicate with your readers and draw more followers in.

Blog Health Check-up

Make sure you blog is in good health. Check for broken links and other technical things. Spruce up the look of your blog occasionally to keep it fresh. Your readers will remain interested and they will have fewer, if any problems when they visit your blog page.

Don’t forget your “header tags”.  Give your readers various tags such as the ones I have shown above.  If you have an affiliate marketing program, identify the affiliate in your tags.  Always have an About, tag so your readers get to know you.  And again, if any of your tags have links, be sure they are working.

Stay With Your Topic

A topic that excites your interest and passion is particularly important when you make a blog. People will appreciate your posts more, if you write about something in which you have a genuine interest. Your readers will appreciate this and you will connect to them better, which can help you produce a blog that does really well.

TIP! Never ever allow yourself to copy anything. One of the most important things your blog can cultivate is a reputation for honesty and reliability.

When determining what keywords you will use for your blog, remember to choose ones that are unique and less competitive. When you are focusing on common keywords, it is very hard to compete with others. If you want multiple views, your content must be unique.

The preceding article described a few methods you can use to blog both to make money and to get your voice heard.
