Is Affiliate Marketing Worth The Effort?

The area that really breathes life into the “Is affiliate marketing worth the effort?” question is trial and error. Successful affiliate marketers knows that to be successful in affiliate marketing, it will take a lot of trials and errors.  Learning from mistake is the learning ground that makes affiliate marketing worth the effort.

As a marketer you shouldn’t expect to build your website one day, and be flooded with commissions from sales the next. This is where many people give up on affiliate marketing

Success comes with effort.  Many people get the wrong impression that just because success isn’t instant, it must not be for them.

You need to understand that you’re not going to hit every mark from the beginning. You need to focus on your business, work at your business and accept failures as apart of the learning curve..

A close friend worked for 4 years at growing his affiliate business plus 3 years of failing, stopping and starting.  Today, he is a top affiliate marketer and teaches what he went through and how to avoid the mistakes he made by offering…..

Marketing Tips

The Question Remains

“Is affiliate marketing worth the effort?”

Bill Fletcher

Sure, you can make money with affiliate marketing. I’m one of the many who earns a full time income with affiliate marketing.  I started part-time, struggled, made mistakes, I made more mistakes and with each one I learned a little more.

Was it easy to get to where I am today? Absolutely not!

While affiliate marketing does take a lot of effort, the basic skills required are really simple to catch on to, and by learning them, you could start earning real money in a fairly short period of time.

It’s really simple:

1.  find a product

2.  promote that product

3.  collect a commission

That’s all there is.  However, as simple as it is knowing how to do each of the 1,2,3 requires skills.

Here’s where affiliate marketing is not worth the effort for everyone. In fact, I’d say that affiliate marketing is not worth the effort for MOST people, simply because most people wouldn’t do the simple 1,2,3 and learn the skills needed.

The Efforts Involved With An Affiliate Marketing Business

The efforts involved with affiliate marketing are actually quite simple, and they don’t need to take up your entire day. Many affiliate marketers operate their business in a different way than I do, but I’ll let you know what efforts are involved with my own methods.

First and foremost, you’ll want to find a product category you believe in and focus on it.

You don’t want to spread your affiliate marketing out too much, and by focusing on one specific product category, you’ll be able to pinpoint audiences to market to and establish yourself as a trusted source on a particular subject.

If you spread out too much, you’re going to need a lot more effort to attract much smaller audiences, rather than allowing your knowledge on one particular subject bring people back again and again.

Next, you’ll want to target that audience and figure out what type of information they are searching for in the search engines. In order to attract the audiences most likely to be interested in your information and buy the products you’re marketing, you’ll want to entice and interest them, and figure out what type of content is best for doing just that.

This is where you want to do a Keyword Research

Another effort you’ll regularly undertake is promotion.

You’ll want to promote your website or blog you’re hosting regularly in order to keep your target audiences to keep come back.

Using social media platforms, like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and other media sites, add your blog post link along with valuable information, and entice them to visit you over and over again.

If Your Like ME You’ll Be Spending Most Of Your Time Writing

In my marketing, I enjoy writing articles, researching with keyword tools and posting to Facebook.

Writing a Blog Article

This is where you shake your head, sit back and say,”I can’t write” or “I’m no good at writing.”

To this I say,“Actually you can, anyone can.”  Will you be good at the beginning? NO!

Remember, Trial and Error?

If you look at my first articles, they were awful.  They were embarrassing.  They lacked content.  They were writing for the sake of writing.

My business, today  is all about creating content, content, and more content. Are there other ways of succeeding at affiliate marketing?

Yes there is, but I find that content marketing is by far the single most profitable method of affiliate marketing for me.

Other marketers use Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and other social media sites to market their business.

When writing, most new affiliate marketers have no problem creating content…. at first. But 6 months in? Hardly anyone makes it that far. The reason is because most people simply don’t like to write as much as they think they do.

Once writing becomes a job instead of a hobby, motivation to keep going can easily waver.

As an affiliate marketer, who writes, you’ll essentially become a full time content creator, and most of that will be in the written form. Can you handle writing 1,000 word articles every single day?

Probably not!   I can’t.

Breaking Down The Question Is Affiliate Marketing Worth The Effort?

To break down the question “Is affiliate marketing worth the effort?” take a look at the efforts I’ve laid out, and determine for yourself.

In order to be successful in affiliate marketing:

1, you’ll need to choose a product category to focus on

2. learn about your audience

3. build a website or blog

4. find an audiences

5.  create LOTS of content, and

6. promote your content and your product

Is it easy?  YES and NO!

With the right trial and error, you could be well on your way to receiving those commission checks by referring happy customers.

In terms of regular maintenance you will need to keep up with the latest online marketing trends, promote your content regularly, and continue learning about how your product category of choice is developing in today’s modern age in order to remain a trusted resource on your chosen topic.

Another way of shorting the learning curve is to learn from a coach, a trainer or someone who has worked in the “trenches” and can show you how to avoid the mistakes.

More later.

Success In Affiliate Marketing

Is Affiliate Marketing Worth The EffortFor those willing to put in the effort, affiliate marketing can be a profitable business in many ways.

What are some of the benefits of affiliate marketing:

  • A business you can love – Extending your passion and love for products feels less like a job, and more like a hobby
  • Receiving a commission check – each month
  • Be your own boss – In affiliate marketing, the business is between you and the brand or product your offering
  • You’re your own boss – determining the types of products you’re marketing, how you’re marketing them, and what type of promotion strategies give you the best chance of sales.
  • Work on your schedule – Rather than adhering to a schedule that doesn’t work for you, such as a job, you get to decide when and where you want to work. You can promote and make money while on vacation, or write your latest informative blog post late at night when you can’t sleep. You’re in charge of your schedule.

The freedom of success in affiliate marketing alone is worth the effort for many. With the right knowledge, flexibility, and willingness to learn, affiliate marketing can have you on your way to success as your own boss today.

What about a coach or trainer?

There are many good coaches available.  The two I found my success with affiliate marketing was Mike and Paul founders of Home Business Academy plus my mentor Rob.

Note

As a note to the comment: “I can’t write” or “I’m no good at writing” did you know that there are now AI machines that will write for you?

Today I use an AI machine called “Emersion Magic Content Machine”  I simply put in my keywords and I have a 300 – 500 -1,000 word written content that I edit to reflect my “Voice.”

It’s all part of “The Worlds First All In One Digital Online Marketing.”

As a member of the Home Business Academy, I have access to the Emersion Magic Content Machine as well as Done For You Funnels, Email Swipes, Coaching and so much more.

I paid $25 dollars to start and up graded with $125 to get the Premium Academy.

Was the investment worth it?

For me YES.  For YOU?  Maybe.  However for $25 dollars how could you go wrong?

I would suggest you try Home Business Academy for yourself if nothing more than to get the Done For You Funnel Academy.

Anyway it’s your choice.  Click the BANNER to find out for yourself.
