Multi-level marketing is very attractive because it offers wealth and independence for a relatively small up front cost.  Multi-level marketing is a way to sell goods or services through distributors. These plans usually promise that if you sign up to be a distributor for that company, you will receive commissions.  You can even make commission on other distributors you recruit into the network marketing business.

Becoming a distributor for the network marketing company is quite easy.  In most cased you don’t even have to have a lot of knowledge about the product or service being sold. Most people hear about the product through “Opportunity Meetings”, from friends, or through “Business Opportunity Shows”. Many people initially join in order to purchase their own supply of the product at a discount but may also see and advantage in creating a financial future.

Important Questions

Can I make money by just selling the product?  This is an important question and one you need to get an answer before joining any network marketing company.  Spend time with the person promoting the business opportunity. Most promoters will say that the real money is in sponsoring new distributors. Now that’s OK as long as you can still make money without sponsoring others. If it looks like the only way to make money is to sponsor others, my advice is to walk away from the business opportunity.  If it looks to good to be true it probably is not.  MLM is hard work…MLM is not a “get rich quick” program.  Understand it take time, focus and commitment to make your Network Marketing Business a success.

Here are 4 tips to look at before joining any Network Marketing Company:

1.  Take a close look at yourself.  Is this something you want to do?  Are you comfortable talking to people?  Network Marketing is not for everyone…many will say NO to your opportunity.  Are you OKAY with hearing NO?  Are you a salesman?  If you are that’s OKAY.  Most people are not a sales type.  Again that’s OKAY also.  If fact that’s an asset.  Again most people are not sales type and if you come across as “salesman” people will not identify themselves with your business.  “I’m not like you, I can’t sale” is what I mostly hear.  So don’t come across as a salesman, but instead keep it simple and “show and tell”. Just remember… No product sells itself, no matter how great it may be. Is it something that your, family, friends and new people will want to purchase and can they afford the product or services? And finely, are you basing your decision on common sense and research or on hype and glossy brochures?

2.  Take a close look at the company.  Do some research.  The Internet is a great source of information.  Google the company.  Read what others have to say.  You may read about the company as a SCAM.  And that is OKAY.  Some are scams but most of the time the writer is having you read the article so as to get your attention to either sell you on their opportunity or to have you sign up under them.  Spend time with your potential sponsor.  Why did they join the business?  Talk to their up-line.  Talk to others in the business.  Check them out with any Multi-level Marketing or Direct Marketing Organizations. Most important:  Do You Feel Good About The Business, The Opportunity, The Sponsor, The Product and the Company?

3.  Take a close look at the product. Is the product unique? Can people purchase the product or something similar in local stores or at a cheaper price? Can the claims be substantiated? How many real customers are available to you (friends, family, size of community)? Do you believe in the product with a passion? Would you be willing to pay the retail price even if there were no business opportunity involved?

4.  Finally, as in any new business, more people fail than succeed. Can you afford to lose the money you are thinking of investing?

The multi-level marketing (MLM) business is a powerful way of making money part-time.  For just a few dollars you can build an international business with hundreds or thousands of distributors all over the world.  There are hundreds of MLM Companies to choose from.  Some of the best known are: 

All are good and you can make money with any of them.  The real trick is YOU.  As mention above are you committed, discipline and willing to put in the time to build your business?  If you answer YES, then any of them will work.  You have to feel good with the product, use the product and promote the product.

But here is a “CATCH”.  While all the MLM Companies are good, most have little training or “Old marketing methods”.  Proper training is the key to your success.  How to get FREE LEADS, ATTRACTION MARKETING, HOW TO RECRUIT NEW DISTRIBUTORS, HOW TO TRAIN NEW DISTRIBUTORS and HOW TO USE ALL THE SOCIAL MEDIA PROGRAMS will grow your business to the level you desire.

Another powerful way of making money either ONLINE or OFFLINE is through Affiliate Programs.  Let’s say you talk to someone who is already in network marketing and says NO to your opportunity.  Have lost that opportunity?  Not necessarily.  By having a back-up plan you can offer an affiliate training program.  Both you and your prospect will make money with.  It’s call a WIN-WIN Situation.

In conclusion, network marketing on the internet isn’t that difficult. Instead, people make it difficult. Your key to success is to differentiate yourself from everyone else and create your own themed-based blog or website. Once you have a website, focus on creating content that pre-sells your visitors. Finally, you should monetize your website with three to five different income streams, so you have multiple streams of income. If you can do this, you will succeed at network marketing on the internet.
