You should add to your blog as often as possible. It is common for bloggers to begin blog posting as though they were going to a fire and then, over time, to gradually fall into blogging less and less frequently. Without updates, the readers, whose attention you grab at the beginning, will quickly tire of waiting for new content. Make sure to blog at least daily or at a minimum weekly and notify your subscribers.

You should purchase your own domain site instead of using a free hosting site when developing your blog. Buying your own domain is surprisingly inexpensive and makes your blog seem more professional. It will be far easier for your readers to remember. This is even more true if your domain name contains your business name or other aspects of your branding.

Go Daddy is a great site to purchase your domain.  For less than $10.00 Go Daddy will assign you a domain.  Purchase a .com…the other (dot) are not necessary unless it applies to your Blog:  ie education, government..etc.

Hosting can be done by many hosting sites.  Go Daddy can host your site, Host Gator is another.

Images Will Enhance Your Blog

Use images in your posts. Pictures are attention grabbing and are an easy way to convey your ideas without words. This saying holds true, even in the blogosphere. You want people to be interested enough to read your post and also get an idea of what the post is about before reading the entire thing. As a result, it makes sense to incorporate pictures wherever possible.

Always reply to comments you receive, and do not take them personally. People will always criticize you no matter what the topic is. Those that are constructive can be used to improve your blog. Although it may seem counter-intuitive, you should politely respond to flames and trolls, as well, but don’t dwell on them. Your other readers will appreciate your professionalism.

Blogging is an informal medium, so write accordingly. Blogs are social formats. It is important that you treat it as such. The object is to connect informally with your readers so that they return to read more of what you have to say.

With that said, if you are establishing a blog to make money, you want to Inform, Train or offer information people are looking for.  Once you have your blog established, people will get to know and trust you.  If you have a product to offer, tell your readers.  Making money with a blog is really easy and profitable.
