How to Make Money Blogging: Learn The 5 Basic Steps
Here’s an overview of the five basic steps to follow if you want to make money blogging:
- The Quality Of Your Content Can and Will Make a Difference
- Build Relationships
- Build Authority and Trust
- Making Money Blogging
- Get Noticed
If you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed, I’ll give you some tips at the end of this article.
1. The Quality Of Your Content Can and Will Make a Difference
The quality of your content is KING! Actually let me slightly rephrase this: Original, quality content is king. A lot of people get frightened by the word “original” because they think they’re not smart enough to produce something new. But by “original” this simply mean that you’ve written something using your own words and personally.
It really isn’t that difficult to do. Think about this: you may have read a book, or article, you may have been on a training seminar or Webinar. That could be good content for your blog. Write about something you learned. Doing this will increase your chances of connecting with your readers because when you write the articles using your own words you are presenting a fresh perspective on what might be a not-so-fresh topic.
An added benefit is that Google is continuously rewarding those websites that are producing original, relevant and quality content by ranking them higher in search results. As time goes on and you become more successful.
Keep your content fresh. If you want to grow your readership, it is necessary to inject fresh content regularly. If you do not update your blog very often, internet users will not have any reason to revisit it.
2. Build relationships
While you create your content, start building genuine and sincere relationships via social media, commenting, forums and the like. Reach out to people in your niche. Find people who could use the information you provide. Get to know them, interact, be friendly and be helpful by offering no-strings-attached tidbits of your expertise when you can. Building relationships is important for a few reasons:
- If done authentically, these relationships will help you establish a reputation of being trustworthy and generous.
- If no one knows you exist, it’s unlikely you’ll get many visitors. People won’t naturally find you if you don’t put yourself out there.
- It’s very possible these relationships will turn into much more than just acquaintances to chat with online. These people will likely support you in the future and more than that, they may become fantastic, life-long friends.
3. Build Authority and Trust
Keep growing your knowledge so the content you produce on your blog gets increasingly better. Use your blog for exposure, build authority, and trust. A lot of people don’t realize that for many bloggers, much of the money does not come from their blog directly. A blog is a platform a tool. It’s online property, a digital home. By becoming an authority and building trust, bloggers use their blogs as springboards to launch products that provides income.
Blog Posts should be concise and clear. While it is important to provide the depth of detail that your readers are looking for, blogs that are too long and verbose will simply put your readers to sleep. Most of your blog followers don’t expect, or want, you to go on and on about minor details. They want the main point of the post.
4. Making Money Blogging
Once your blog has earned trust, think about how to make money with your blog. Most new bloggers focus solely on making money, but if you try to dive into monetizing before your really, you run the risk of damaging the good reputation you so desperately need.
There are many ways bloggers make money. Each blogger has a different combination of income streams. There is no “right” way to make money blogging. And that’s the beauty of it. There are endless possibilities.
Income streams ebb and flow, so successful bloggers are constantly exploring new ways to make money. The key to making good money as a blogger is to have multiple streams of income. Even small trickles of money coming from various sources over time can really add up.
The best way to start monetizing is to let it grow organically out of what you are already doing. Hopefully you are blogging about something you enjoy or offering help and advice. People use Google to search for help and advice. Be there for them, by offering what they are looking for. Then as you grow, look for ways to monetize your blog while helping your audience by solving problems.
Do not get frustrated if your readership doesn’t explode overnight. Remember, it will take time for your blog to gain traffic. You also have to build up the amount of content on your blog before there is enough to entice a large audience to visit. The longer your blog is around, and the more you post content, the more your readership will increase.
5. Get Noticed
Place your blog articles all over the Internet. This will allow you to reach a wider audience. Don’t ever limit the number of outlets that you use. Your aim should be to do whatever it takes in order to get huge numbers of new readers to your blog. Use every possible outlet and your blog will get the maximum exposure.
Facebook is an excellent way to get noticed. Twitter, Instagram, Linkedin, and a host of other social media sites are available to yourself noticed. But remember, its your content that will keep you in front of people. Without good content you are just wasting your time.
Finally
From the information given in this article, you should have a better understanding of what writing a blog is and how it could be helpful to you.
