While starting your own business might be difficult, Multi-level Marketing provides a great way to make extra income. You will earn money, while helping others to do the same and even make some new friends. And the best part you can do Multi-level Marketing in your spare-time or on your terms.
This article has some useful tips to help you start and succeed with your MLM Business Opportunity.
Is Multi-level Marketing the answer to making money at home? That really depends on you. Multi-level Marketing or Network Marketing is a great business opportunity, but it’s not for everyone.
If your in a MLM Company, this is an important concept to understand…MLM is not for everyone. You will get more NO’s than YES’s. If this bothers you, maybe Network Marketing or Multi-level Marketing is not for you.
Can you make money? Of course you can but it will take time, effort and focus.
Once you have chosen a MLM Company, carefully consider the compensation package that the MLM Company offers. If the compensation offered is not going to reward you with enough income, you need to look around for a better opportunity.
If someone is trying to sponsor you in the business, never be pressured to sign on. This a “Business” and as such you will be in business for many years.
Also consider the product line. If the product line is not to your “comfort factor” you will have difficulties in trying to promote. For instant: Let’s say you are passionate about Jewelry, but some one has approached you about making money with a company that has to do with Energy Drinks. How successful do you think you will be when you have no desire to promote this type of product?
In your search, look for a product that you can become passionate about. It makes your job much easier and your home based business will become a lot more successful quicker.
Sponsoring
Your MLM business is not a fight on how many people you can sponsor. Sponsoring 50 people in your business only to have 49 quit is not building a successful business. Instead, concentrate on how you can help people as you go about your business. The same goes for your distributors. Help them concentrate on “quality” of people not how many. You will have a better organization and a much happier downline.
Again, its not the number of people you sponsor but the number of people that really want to build a business.
TRUE STORY: I was one of the people who would sponsor anyone within 3 feet of me. I was a master recruiter. In fact I received an award for the number of people I recruited that month. Successful? No, because by the end of 45 days, all the people I sponsored were gone. I wasted my time and theirs. I didn’t find the “right” person who want what I had to offer. I was only after NUMBERS. I didn’t know how to find the “right ” people.
You can never be sure who is interested when you offer your business opportunity. Your job is qualify them, show them the opportunity and how they can make money. At this point most people go into the Sales Mode and tend to push the business opportunity on them. Never SELL, explain, people can choose for themselves, let it make it their decision not yours.
Most people don’t like to SELL. If they see you selling them they will most likely not join your opportunity. Instead explain your business. Let them see how easy it is to start a business and start making money part-time. Again, SELLING them will more likely turn them away.
So at this point I get the question, “But want if my prospect says NO or I will think it over?” I explain, that your prospect is not saying NO to you, they are saying No to the opportunity. Thats OKAY just stay in touch. What if they say “I will think it over?” Again, that OKAY. My response is, “What is it you need to think over?” Normally they will say, “Its the money or the time or not interested.” I now have an answer. I can address the concern or tell them that I will stay in touch. The point here is that I am in control. I have had some even call me back several days later asking me to explain the business opportunity again.
Every business has a “Plan.” Corporations have business plans, small business have business plans and you are no different. You must have a plan, A Written Plan.
Create a board that shows your vision about your goals. What is your hope for your business? Is to to quit you job? How about a yacht, fast car or mansion, dream vacation or something else? Your goals will remind you of way you are building a home based business. Again, to sate the obvious, IF you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there.
Motivate your prospect so they dominate the conversation. Your promotions will be more successful when you use what you learn about your contacts. Take advantage of the information you can glean from your prospect and taylor your presentation to answer their issues. If they want to make enough money to make a car payment, show them how your business opportunity can accomplish this. If you listen to your customers and what their wants and needs are, you’ll be able to market to them successfully.
TRUE STORY: I would show my prospect how to make $10,000 a month or more. Many of them were scared. They never made that much money even at their job. It was too much to grasp. For many unrealistic. Instead, I have changed my presentation to show them how to make that car payment, house payment or what ever. That was easy for them to understand. I qualified them with a realistic goal and something they could accomplish.
Construct your blog site to educate visitors on your product or business opportunity.
A tutorial is an effective way to boost your site traffic, and have your visitors spend more time with your content as well. Always follow up with a “Call To Action.” You will notice at the end of this blog post a PS. The PS is a Call To Action. Even in my one-on-one presentations, I will leave my prospect with a call to action. It maybe to look at my blog or a company presentation or some other means to action. I never leave my prospect without a follow-up of some kind.
The most important tip regarding MLM or Network Marketing is to remember that it is a business venture and to always treat it as such. If you see an ad that says you can “make thousands a month in your spare time or while you sleep!!!,” run away screaming.
While this is possible, it takes time and effort to get to this point. A successful Network Marketing Business will not happen over night. It is a business and like any business, you must manage it, work at it and have a master plan.
You must know who is the “right” person to sponsor. Maintain diligence and a high level of effort if you desire to make solid income in your Network Marketing Business. Keep a promise to yourself of working hard everyday, and that will make you a successful network marketer.
TRUE STORY: I tell my prospect that building any business requires a lot of work. To which I hear, “You mean I have to WORK?” I had a great couple excited to join my MLM Business. I got to the point of “working the business.” All of a sudden, the excitement was gone. Work stopped them.
Know what your budget is before starting a multilevel marketing business opportunity. Be realistic. This allows you to work well within your financial boundaries, without losing your investment or missing out on business opportunities. A budget will give you a clear picture of all of your expenditures and incomes.
TRUE STORY: I spent $75,000 dollars to open a business. Then another $2,000 per month to keep it going. When I tell my prospect it will cost them a couple hundred or thousand dollars, to get started, some are shocked. I have often told them of my $75,000 and $2,000 per month just to make an income in 2-3 years. Where can you spend a couple of hundred or thousand dollars with with potential to earn a good income? Network Marketing is that opportunity.
Again it is important to repeat: If you are seeking good MLM company, find a business that offers products or services that you personally would be interested in buying. Your enthusiasm and support of the products will be contagious, and customers will be much more likely to share your interests.
Finally, If you are participating in Network Marketing, you must always make sure you focus on the needs of your customers and prospects. You cannot have a successful business without happy customers or prospects. It is generally accepted that you should only talk 20% of the time. The rest of the time, you should be listening to their wants and desires.
