Any business has some basic tools. A contracting business has tools to do the job. Auto repair has tools to repair
automobiles and craft shop has tools to do business. Your Network Marketing Business or MLM Business needs some basic tools. If you want to make your home based Network Marketing Business a success you will need some basic tools.
Your home office needs some basic tools.
- Computer
- Printer
- Software
- Phone
- Pens, pencils and paper
- Journal
- Books
Computer
Today any home based business needs a good computer. If you are on a budget, you don’t need a top of the line computer. In fact just last week I was in Best Buy and saw “open box” lap top computers for as little as $304.00.
Running your business efficiently, the computer is one of the necessary tools.
Printer
As with the computer, a printer is again one of the necessary tools. Can you go without a printer…Yes. But again you will become more efficient with one.
As with the computer, you don’t need the most expensive top-of-the-line printer. A good basic one will do but one feature you will definitely want is Wireless. Instead of having cables all over the place a simple wireless printer is going to be your best choice.
Software
To operate your business as a professional, you will need some basic software. I you have a PC, you need Microsoft Office Home & Business. A little more expensive than Profession but well worth the added expense.
As a professional blogger, I do all my writing on Word and upload to my blog. Excel keeps track of all my expenses and my list of Keyword. At present I have over 1,700 keywords in my Excel spreadsheet.
Presentations are done on PowerPoint for up loading to YouTube.
If your choice of a computer is MAC’s you can also use Microsoft Office Home & Business for MAC’s. However, MAC’s have their own version of Word, Presentations and Spreadsheets if you want to cut some cost.
Additional Software…
since I spend a great deal of time blogging and article writing, I use software programs to help me get ideas as well as research.
Finding the right KEYWORD is critical to ranking on the front page of Google. While the Google Keyword Planner is great for doing keyword research, I find I like Market Samurai for finding the “right” keyword as well as SEO ranking. Article Builder is another program I use. While this program is OKAY, it can become very generic. I use Article Builder for ideas.
Phone
Of course any good business have a phone. Your home business is no different. I suggest you have a dedicated phone line or cell phone for your business. There is nothing worse than to have the phone ring and your 6 year old pick it up.
Pen, Pencil and Paper
Necessary of course. In fact you may be saying, “why is he even saying this?” You would be surprised to hear that
Take Notes
when I am talking to someone and ask them to “write this down” how many have to search for a pen or pencil and paper to take the note.
In my office, I have several pens next to my phone and computer. When I am on a Webinar, I am taking notes, web address and contacts. Without this tool, I would be lost.
Journal
Good friend told me years ago to keep a journal so that all my notes and ideas are in one place. That friend was Eric Worre. Now if Eric keeps a journal and as successful as Eric is, then that is one of my tools. I have over 5 journal today all dated so I know when the information was taken.
I consider my journals as valuable as money, which if you think of it they are.
Books
Basic stuff. Noticed that the last entry were BOOKS. Necessary! Yes! In my library I have a whole wall full of books. Books like Think and Grow Rich, See You At The Top, Beach Money, How To Start Your MLM Business, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, books from Robert Schuler, Tony Robins and Zig Zigular are just a few.
Why are these necessary? Necessary because you will have good days and bad days. These will help you overcome any of these ups and down. Plus you will pick-up great tips, wisdom and advice from top professional. I read a minimum of 30 minutes a day, seven days a week from any of my 60+ books.
Conclusion
Any business need the tools to operate it efficiently. A home based business is no different.
Operating a home based business is difficult on it’s own. Without the necessary tools your Network Marketing Business or MLM Business is doomed from the beginning.
So the title question remains, ”How To Succeed In Your Network Marketing Business.” It’s tools, work, focus, dedication and planning.
Making money with your business is not that difficult if you have these items. Take anyone of these items away and your success greatly diminishes.
