Making an income online is not that hard.. all it takes is some research. Now what is research? Well what is your intention? Is your intent to make money on line? Are you looking for FREE leads for your network marketing business? Maybe your looking to start a home based business and want to know how to start? Are you struggling in your MLM business and need help? More important do you Want To Make Money Online?
Your first step is to define your intent. Determine what it is you want and why. When this is done now you can start your research. Its kind of like planting a garden. IF you don’t know how or why you can fail. And I hope your intent is not to fail. Failure can and will causes frustration and you will soon quit with out ever beginning.
What next? Once you have defined your intent and you know your “why”, the next step is “what are you interested in doing to make money online”. Are you interested in making money with a home business and have a passive income? Maybe you have a passion for wood working, cooking, coaching, dog training, lawn care or want to write a book or ebook or “what ever”. All of these are great ways to make money online or with your home business.
What is Passive Income?
I prefer to define passive income fairly broadly as revenue you earn even when you aren’t actively working. Another name for passive income is residual income.
By contrast active income is money that stops coming to you when you stop working. If you get paid a salary and you quit your job or get laid off, most likely you’ll stop getting paid. You may get a severance package to help you transition, but your boss won’t keep paying your salary unless you keep showing up for work. Active income is getting paid for time and work performed…a job!
Similarly, if you do contract work for clients who pay you if you stop doing this work, you stop getting paid that’s also active income. You may have more flexibility with contract work, but you still have to do the work to receive your payments.
With passive income, you would keep getting paid whether or not you do any meaningful work. I like to define passive income as, “Passive income is income received on a regular basis, with little effort required to maintain it. It is closely related to the concept of “unearned income“.
You may do a lot of work up front to get the ball rolling, but eventually you reach a point where the passive income stream gets activated. At this point you can essentially cut back, retire or even top working on this income stream if you so desire, and more money will keep flowing to you through this stream regardless what you do or don’t do.
Passive income is like a book writer. They get paid to write the book and get it published. Once published the writer receives “royalties” on the sale of the book. The same with recording artist. Record a song and get paid for every sale there after.
Define Your Passion
Webster defines passion as “a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something. : a strong feeling for someone, something, emotion such as anger, love or personal…”
As mentioned, you have a passion for cooking and would like to make money with cooking ideas and suggestions. Great now your ready to do your research on how to get your cooking ideas into the hands of people who share your passion or want to be better at cooking.

My passion is affiliate marketing and helping people struggling in their network marketing business. Of course, I like the idea of passive income. Work once and get paid forever.

Here Are A Few Ideas
Join up with revenue sharing companies like InfoBarrel or Squidoo. You can write about things that interest you and you make money from it. These sites are affiliated to Amazon.com, making it a great site to use.
Make an online income schedule that you follow daily. If you want to make the most money possible, you have to work on a regular basis. There isn’t any way to get rich quick here. You will need to attack it each and every day. Carve out a specific time frame daily. An hour each day could be a big difference!
When I talks to someone the first thing I do is to ask “If you are really serious about starting a business, how much time are going to put into it?” If the answer is less than 10 hours a week, I know they are not serious. Any business requires “time” to get it started. Once started, it can be cut down.
Look into surveys. There are many different surveys you can take. Completing surveys allows you to generate a nice income stream. However, they usually don’t pay much. This is easy when you have some down time, and that money can quickly add up.
If you are serious about making money online, you must be able to prove your identity. You will have to provide valid identification at many online moneymaking sites. If you haven’t gotten a digital copy of your ID and other information, you may want to find these things before doing anything else.
Domain Names
Flip domain names for quick cash. There are lots of people that make money from domain names. However, you do have to put up a bit of money in the beginning. A site like Google Adsense is a good place to find trending key phrases people search for. Buy domains which can be acronyms. Predicting popular domain names of the future can be quite profitable. Give it a try!
Figure out the value of your time before getting started. If you plan to do a job, how much per hour is the least you’ll take? If you do not mind working for a lower wage, you will never raise your earnings. No one will pay you more if you’re willing to accept less.
Never put money up front to have a chance to make money online. Any company that asks for money in order to hire you is in the business of scamming people. They are more than likely going to just take your money and leave you out to dry. Avoid these companies like the plague.
Money Up Front
Don’t get me wrong, many affiliate companies, MLM Companies and Network Marketing Companies will ask for money to become a member or distributor. This is okay. But make sure that they a have a “trial” period. A time in which you can see if the company is something you want to do or promote. If not most will allow you to cancel your membership and/or get you money back. This is a small price to pay to start a business.
Example: I met a couple who bought a franchise. The price of the franchise was $50,000 up front and $25,000 to open the doors. After 2 years it was apparent that they made a wrong decision. The franchise was not what they expected, the company was not as supportive as they would want and the hours they spent to operate the franchise took away their free time. They tried to sell the franchise back to the company with no success. The tried to sell the franchise to another party, again with no success. They had two options: Keep operating the business or “close the doors”. After another 2 years they “closed the doors”.
After a hundred thousand in debt and four years, they were without an income. Miserable, they both went back to work at a job. What went wrong? They didn’t research well enough. They didn’t design a game plan. They loss the desire.
Affiliate Marketing
In my opinion, affiliate marketing is an awesome way to make money online. Affiliate marketing is taking someone else’s product and promoting it. When a sale is make you make money. Many affiliate program’s today offer “Passive” income.
Again do some research. Many affiliate programs you can buy on ClickBank offer a one time payment for the sale of their product. That’s fine if that is your intent. I know of many wealthy Internet Pros who make a great living at ClickBank.
Many new companies are now coming online that offer affiliate programs with a passive income feature. The best part here is sell the product once and make money every month on that sale.
Try affiliate marketing to earn money online. You will want to establish a website or a blog that attracts a lot of traffic to your site. With a blog, look for a topic that interests you to write about. In you blog, offer your affiliate product, but keep a low profile. People like to buy, but people don’t want to be “”sold”. Give them a reason to purchase. Search for sites that offer affiliate pay and join them. This means you will get part of the revenue for everything purchased through the ads or blog post on your site.
Can I Make Money With A Blog?
YES!!
Many successful to Internet Marketers either have a blog or made money with a blog. A blog is easy to set-up, easy to work with and easy to get your home business established.
If you want to make some extra money, think about starting a blog and sell an affiliate product Online. Self publishing is something that people have found to be a great way to make money these days. You can make a little or a lot of money if you’re good at blogging that can come up with something people will want to read or learn.
So the question remains: Do I have to be good at writing? Surprising, the answer is NO. Write about anything as long as it pertains to the intent of your blog. If you have a weight loss program, write how to loos weight. Simple ideas on why you need to loos weight. Tip and suggestions on loosing weight. Sprinkle in your affiliate program or MLM company and how it relates to weight loss.
The same idea pretains to anything you want to offer or promote.
Just make sure you can make money with the program and better yet “passive income”. You will also want a good commission program that pays for your efforts. A blog is a great way to make money.
