Can You Bounce Back From Failure?

And of course you and I both know You Can!

In fact we all have failed at something:  skating, bicycle, skiing, class room, marriages, business, Network Marketing, investments, sports, and I can go on and on.

Failure is not a failure if we learn something from it.

I can remember one of my teachers saying, “If you fall off the horse, get back on.”  What did he mean?  The lesson was simple, “try again.”

Again, “Failure is not a failure is we learn something from it.”

What about a failure to meet your GOALS?

I suggest to you that most of us has at one time failed to meet our Goal.  A perfect example is the New Years Resolution.  How many of us set a Goal around New Years and around February, that Goal is forgotten.

We didn’t meet our Goal.  Did I kill us?  No.  We just didn’t meet the Goal.

Don’t get me wrong.  As humans, we have and inherent ability to expect certain situation to become successful.  And when they don’t we tend to be “let down.”  That is normal.  But for most of us we simply “get back on the horse and try again.”

Here is a familiar scenario for all of us:  Let’s imagine you have a home based business.  Why did I choose this?  Many home based business fail within the first couple years.  And I have a home base business and I have struggled making it work.  So this scenario is very familiar to me.

Here’s the scenario:

You’ve done what you’re supposed to do from your Success Plan, your up-line and the MLM Company but you just can’t get your business to grow.

You have it all laid out, everything is in place, the whole plan looks great but it just doesn’t work.

You stayed up all night and weekends, working and working countless hours, but it doesn’t seem to help. You just can’t seem to change the end result.

You’re thinking of quitting your MLM Company, or maybe just giving up.  My advice here is Never Quit!  There is a way that you may not have discovered yet!  More about that later.

This is the time when you have to be your own best cheerleader.

There are two ways to keep yourself motivated:

1. Take responsibility for the missed goal.

Be prepared for letdowns that happen every so often to all of us. Know that this failed goal or goals just set you up to take advantage of the next goal.

Realize that you can make the necessary alterations to your Success Plan.  Make the changes that will make the difference.

Study what happened and learn what went wrong. Instead of dwelling on the missed goal, simply acknowledge it, learn and move on!

2. Remind yourself that you will get better.

I’m a huge fan of Russell Brunson, author of Expert Secrets and Dotcom Secrets.  Russell did not become the expert he is today by not failing.  If you talks to Russell, he will tell you that he missed many goals.  Failed numerous times.  But for every one missed, he learned and moved in a different direction until he got it right.

Don’t get down on yourself. Don’t beat yourself up. It’s simply a missed goal. It’s the next opportunity or goal that matters.

The missed goal is the past.  It matters only in that you learn from what happen. The new goal gives you the opportunity to show that you have learned from whatever your mistakes was.

Figured out what went wrong, now you know how to make corrections.  Then Pat yourself on the back for figuring it out.

Now its time to “get back on the horse.”

Of course, you do have your up-line to turn to or other’s in the origination.  Get help and advice from them.  Let your up-line encourage you to keep going.

You have to have the inner belief that everything you’re doing is for a positive outcome.  Remember, you started your home based business for a reason.  Review why you started.

Encourage yourself with future successes.

Sometimes missing a goal is the best thing that can happen.. Why?

You’re at the bottom, your frustrated.  There’s only one way to go. UP.   But more important, you’re frustrated, this is the time to reach down inside yourself and pull out miracles and talents and abilities and desire and determination.

If you’re frustrated and in need of change, then I have some words to offer:

Your present failure is a temporary condition….You will rebound, just as surely as you gravitated into failure.

Pull yourself up read the goals in your revised  Success Plan.

Make your failures give birth to great opportunity, not prolonged agony. Make your frustration lead to inspiration, not depression.

The doors will open once you decide to “get back on the horse” and make your mark.

Keep your eyes firmly set on achievement. Don’t settle for mere existence and self-pity. Make a commitment to excellence.
