Is Network Marketing Right For You?

MLM can be tough but very rewarding if you put your mind to it.

MLM can be tough but very rewarding if you put your mind to it.

The question..Is Network Marketing Right For You?  is a valid question.  So many people get into Network Marketing for a variety reasons.  But again is it right FOR YOU?

I Don’t Know!  For many it’s a great business opportunity and they love it while making money.  For others, it’s just not the right business.  That’s Okay.  In fact if your in Network Marketing, you already know that the number of people you talk to will say NO.

Should that stop you from joining a MLM Company?  No, but if your not the type of person who can not dedicate time and energy to building a home based business, who get disturbed by NO’s…I recommend you stay away from this form of business.  it’s a tough business.  It can be fun and it can be profitable, but it is a tough business.  So in your thinking….take that into consideration.

History

Are you thinking that Network Marketing is a new form of selling products via a “door-to-door selling.  The real history goes back much further.  Trade routes in the Middle East and the Orient used an early form of direct selling.  In the United States the Yankee Peddler came to life in the early 1700’s.

Joseph Watkins, of Winona Minnesota, started the Watkins Company in 1868. He had acquired the rights to a particularly popular liniment, which became the base of a century plus door-to-door company that included a full-line of spices, food-related products and personal care products. Today, the company is a modern version of its earlier self.

Network Marketing is a post-World War II phenomenon that was kick-started by companies such as Amway, Shaklee and Mary Kay. However, the origins of network marketing today planted their roots just prior to the turn of the century, in 1900.

So Network Marketing has a long history of selling a product.  But it does not answer the question is it right FOR YOU?

Is Network Marketing right for You?

There are no perfect or right type of people for network marketing.

There’s a common myth that network marketing is all about selling, so many people who don’t see themselves as “salespeople” shy away from it.

The truth is, most of the people who are a huge success in network marketing aren’t sales types, and tend to be more introverted. I’m a good example, since I built my business almost entirely through the internet. I’ve done only a handful of

Listen to your prospect and they will tell you want they want.

personal presentations.  One of the top marketers and well know in the industry will admit he is an introvert and hates selling, yet he has made multiple millions in the business.

Network Marketers build their business by listening to people’s needs and wants, and then providing an answer.  I always ask questions first to find what they want or the needs to uncover problems then provide a solution to those problems.  I never do the same talk twice.  I alway structure my visit or presentation around that person.

Important To Note….

People aren’t looking for products, services–or even business opportunities; they’re looking for solutions to life’s problems.  I can’t solve them all with network marketing, but for some I can.  So, I’m not in a sales business; rather, I’m in a problem-solving and dream-building business.

Read that again,  I’m not in a sales business but rather in a problem solving business and building dreams and futures.

Network Marketing Benefits

In fact, the biggest reasons why people are flocking to network marketing are time leverage, residual income, and tax benefits.

Network marketing is one of the few businesses that doesn’t require employees, yet enables the owner to leverage his or her time by building a network of independent businesspeople. This network, which purchases and sells products or services, generates a residual income for the owner.

ResidualUnlike the income earned at a job, which stops when the work stops, residual income continues on long after the work is completed. As exciting as leverage and residual income are, boomers love the tax benefits of network marketing. Tax expert Sanford Botkin says that a network marketing home business can result in tax savings of $3,000 to $9,000 per year.

The final reason why so many people of all ages are interested in network marketing is the internet.

Success requires a business owner to build a large network of people who buy and sell products/services and recruit others who’ll do the same. The internet now enables network marketers to build national and international businesses from the comfort of their home. No more early-morning alarms and high-stress commutes; all the work can be done from a bedroom with a computer and telephone.

Thanks to the internet, people can now work from the comfort of their home, and within a few months to a few years, build a large international business. The income from this business will secure their financial future and provide more free time to truly enjoy life. The best part is that anyone can do it.

Pyramids Schemes

To help you understand what network marketing is, I must first explain what it isn’t. First, network marketing isn’t a pyramid scheme.
Pyramids are programs similar to chain letters where people just invest money based on the promise that other people will put in money that will filtrate back to them and somehow, they’ll get rich.
A pyramid is strictly a money game and has no basis in real commerce. Normally, there’s no product involved at all, just money changing hands. Modern-day pyramids may have a product, but it’s clearly there just to disguise the money game.

Network marketing is a legitimate business.

But Network marketing isn’t a get-rich-quick system. Of course some people do make large amounts of money very quickly. Many would say those people are lucky. But success in networking isn’t based on luck.  Success in network marketing is based on following some very basic yet dynamic principles.

Network Marketing Is A Serious Business

Now let’s discuss what network marketing is.

MLM is a serious home business for serious people

MLM is a serious home business for serious people

Network marketing is a serious business for serious people. It’s a proven system where the design, creation and expense the corporate team has gone through becomes a road map for your own success. Just follow the simple, proven and duplicable system that the good companies provide.

The real key is this: Network marketing is all about leverage. You can leverage your time and increase the number of hours of work effort on which you can be paid by sponsoring other people and earning a small income on their efforts. J. Paul Getty, who created one of the world’s greatest fortunes, said “I would rather make 1 percent on the efforts of 100 people than 100 percent on my own efforts.” This very basic concept is the cornerstone of network marketing.

Here’s an example:  You put 5 hours in your business each week.  That is 5 hours IN YOUR BUSINESS.  You are able to sponsor 3 people who each put 5 hours in their business each week.  However remember leverage?  Your 5 hours plus 3 people with their 5 hours equals…20 hours in your Business per week.   Do it again and there are 35 hours.  Do it again and there are 50 hours.  One more time and there are 65 hours per week in your business of which you only worked 5…Powerful.

Work a few dedicated hours each week, with each hour of effort serving as a building block for your long-term business growth. Then sponsor other people and teach those people how to sell the company product and sponsor others who duplicate the process.

By helping the people you personally sponsor to sponsor others, you duplicate yourself. As this process continues, you create compound growth that can lead to hundreds or even thousands of people coming into your business. You leverage your time by helping others be successful and earn an income from all their efforts.

Is it right for you?…there are no big capital requirements, no geographical limitations, no minimum quotas required and no special education or skills needed. Network marketing is a low-overhead, home based business that can actually offer many of the tax advantages associated with owning your own business.

Choosing a business opportunity is like choosing a spouse. Choose Carefully

Choosing a business opportunity is like choosing a spouse. Choose Carefully

Network marketing is a people-to-people business that can significantly expand your circle of friends. It’s a business that enables you to travel and have fun as well as enjoy the lifestyle that extra income can provide.

Choosing a business opportunity is like choosing a spouse. You will have to be with this business everyday, working it, nurturing it, and doing all that you can to help it grow. What if you choose the wrong business opportunity? Would your chances for success still be equal? Probably about as equal as your chances of a long and happy marriage if you chose the wrong spouse.

So how do you make sure that Network Marketing is for you?

Every business will call on certain strengths.

Answer the following questions as honestly as you can to see if MLM may be right for you:

1. Do you truly care about people; are you a “people person”?

2. Do you like to help others?

3. Are you compassionate?

4. Are you a self-starter, fully able to motivate yourself?

5. Are you confident in yourself? (You’ll also need to be confident in the product and/or services you are marketing.)

6. Are you coachable enough to follow the training and system you’ll be presented with?

7. Are you genuinely passionate about, and committed to, owning a successful home business?

You don’t have to answer YES to all the question. The more “Yes” answers you gave, the better suited you are for Network Marketing. You’ll also want the people you recruit to have these attributes, because, as the saying goes, “You can’t push a rope!”

I’m convinced that network marketing is the wave of the future in business. It’s a powerful marketing model that’s sweeping the world and will have a greater impact than franchising. Bold statements?

Why the Interest in Network Marketing?

Tired of the corporate rat race, many people are starting home businesses in record numbers.

CNN reported that a new home based business is started in the United States every 11 seconds. The home-business boom is the next big trend, and network marketing is one of the hottest home businesses available. It offers low start-up investment, no overhead, and entrepreneurs can start part-time, while still employed, and build the business to replace their current job income. Age, gender and race aren’t barriers in network marketing.

In the movie The Graduate, Dustin Hoffman was told that the future was in plastics. I’m here to tell you that the future is in network marketing, and that future is now.

Here is a 10 minute video that shows how to get started even if you have no money

This is a great business for some not for other.  If your thinking of joining an MLM Company, look at yourself.  Think before you leap.  Don’t disappoint yourself or you sponsor.
Do I recommend Network Marketing?  There is No Better Business Model For Making Money Part-Time or Full-Time.  YES, I highly recommend Network Marketing.

Cheers,
